Shawn Flarida

In any given show season, Shawn Flarida travels from his facility in Springfield, Ohio to more than twelve NRHA shows. His reward has been multiple NRHA World Championship titles, top ten placings, and USET titles. Shawn has been a player in NRHA aged events as well, with career earnings of over 2 millions dollars.

In 2004-2007 Shawn won the NRBC Classic (Derby) on Einsteins Revolution. He was the Reserve Open Champion at the NRHA Derby on KR Lil Conquistador. In 2005, he had ridden this same horse to the NRHA 2005 Futurity Championship. In October, Shawn became the second NRHA million dollar rider. Read more...

Shawn Flarida's quest to become NRHA's third Million Dollar Rider became reality at the 2003 All American Quarter Horse Congress, held annually every October in Columbus, Ohio.

In 2002, Shawn broke all NRHA records when his money-earned tally for the year reached $270,364.12. He was an Individual and Team USA Gold Medallist in Reining's debut at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain.

He came home to win the Congress Futurity on Wimpys Little Step. Shawn and Wimpys Little Step went on to win the NRHA Open Futurity Championship.
